This year we pounced on the Fylde coast resort of Blackpool in a pair of Y-type Leopards! Recently restored Eastern Scottish BSG537L & Bridgeton resident Western SMT SCS335M were the chosen beasts for our annual trip. We enjoyed our private illuminations tram tour on open top Balloon "Princess Alice", visited the RVPT at Freckleton and LTT & Busworks in Blackpool on Ribble VR 1995 and Blackpool PD3 529 was our Beer and Buses vehicle to St Annes. As usual we stayed in the superb Corona Hotel on South Shore, well recommended!

A return visit to Crich Tramway Village for the 1940's event and a visit to Sheffield for Meadowhall shopping or Supertram bashing was the reason for our trip in the recently restored Strathtay Scottish (Citylink) Leyland Tiger ST18.

This year the Mothers Day tour was through the Campsies and Trossachs to Callander on 875 YYA. Lunch was at the Woollen Mill at Aberfoyle and there was plenty of opperchancities for picturesque photies! Thanks again to Lawrence for his meticulous organisation of the day and to Shuttle Buses for use of their superb AEC reliance coach and thanks to Bod for taking the photos.

Western PD3 MSD408 was our chosen vehicle for our first "Beer & Buses" event visiting a couple of quality establishments to the North of Glasgow. The Burnbrae, Kirkstyle Inn and Torrance Inn were the selected venues with plenty of twisting roads to test Bod's driving skills!

The Yang Sing chinese buffet in Camelon was our destination on Midland Fleetline LMS168W. Following route 37 from Glasgow to Falkirk then a Larbert circular before feeding our faces with multiple platefuls! The snowfall during the meal meant the journey back was a slow one!

Kenny Barclay's excellent Clydeside Scottish Leyland Leopard G750 was our Chariot to the Museum of Flight at East Fortune which houses the only Concorde in Scotland. A meal at the Longniddry Inn before a superb tour of Auld Reekie with a real Edinburgh tour guide completed our travels to the far east!

The same venue (with another name!) for our annual feast and raffle fun. The afternoon bus trip was with Blackpool PD3, 501 taking a little run to Duck Bay Marina on the shores of Loch Lomond.

B100PKS was the obvious choice for our tour of Kelvin routes and depots followed by an Indian buffet meal at the Dalshannon Farm in Condorrat. From Bridgeton we covered routes from Baillieston to Old Kilpatrick and visited former depot sites at Gavinburn, Milngavie, Kirkintilloch, Kilsyth, Stepps as well as the only remaining Kelvin depot, Cumbernauld.

The superb Eastern Scottish M-type Seddon XS750 (MSF750P) & Kelvin Scottish Metrobus 1669 (B100PKS) were our chariots for our annual trip to the bright lights of Fylde coast. We had hoped to take an Atlantean with us but this wasn't to be. Our biggest party yet (54) enjoyed a private illuminations tram tour on Vambac 304, a trip to the East Lancs Railway Diesel Gala on Blue Buses Atlantean 71, Beer and Buses to St Annes on Lytham PD2 70 & RML2734 and a trip to the Altantean 50 event at Manchester on Blackpool Atlantean 334!

The Mothers Day mystery tour..... From Bridgeton to Irvine to Kilwinning to Ayr and back via Kilmarnock, 4 buses, lunch at the Savoy Park in Ayr and a great day was had by the Mothers and all! Thanks to Lawrence for his meticulous organisation of the day and to the various companies who supplied the vehicles.

A trip to Ayrshire on MSD408, Western SMT AD1544, Leyland PD3, was our first outing of 2008. The weather was beautiful and our Carvery lunch at the Fenwick Hotel went down a treat. Following an Ice Cream stop at Largs we headed back to Bridgeton.

Our pre-meal bus ride was a trip on Central SMT BL346 taking in former Central routes around the south side of Glasgow to East Kilbride. The meal was in our usual haunt of the now refurbished Orion Way, which has gone upmarket to "Comtemporary Eating and Drinking" which (thankfully) still gives Gary Nectar points :-)

A cold November day was the date for a trip to Dundee on the immaculate (and warm!) Northern Scottish leopard NPE80 - GSO80V Thanks to owners John & Robert for all their hard work in preparing the vehicle for our trip. We followed some of the original Alexanders route 19 through Cumbernauld and stopped to pick up at Broxden Park & Ride in Perth.

Recently restored Kelvin Scottish 1669 (Alexander bodied MCW Metrobus B100PKS) was our chariot for our annual trip to the bright lights of Fylde coast. Our biggest party yet enjoyed a private tram tour on Vambac 304, a trip to St Helens Museum on Blackpool Atlantean 334 and Beer and Buses to Knott End on Lytham PD2 70.

Preserved Eastern Scottish Leyland Lion ZLL177 was our wonderful chariot for our return visit to the Crich Tramway Village after the original choice vehicle was unavailable. We had a trip for beer on the Saturday night to The Greyhound pub in Higham. ZLL177 had an excellent spot on the depot fan during the Transport Extravaganza at Crich. We visited the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft on the journey home, the Lion fitted in well as everything else there was green!!!

LRT Lothian Alexander T-type bodied Leyland Leopard was our chariot for the trip to Beamish....however following a little problem early into the trip we had to return to Bridgeton to change vehicles! Trusty Northern Scottish Olympian NLO16, TSO16X, was the replacement, making it's first visit to the North East of England.

The GVVT's resident Routemaster, RM2121 was our chariot to the world famous Falkirk Wheel. A trip on the boat lift and some food and drink (of course) completed the visit.

The first trip of 2007 was to the Glengoyne Whisky distillery at Drumgoyne using Ian Short and Davy Wright's West Coast Motors Bedford coach FSL615W. We had a drive to Aberfoyle, where the visitor centre had closed at 4pm! and finished the day off with a meal at the Beech Tree Inn back at Drumgoyne.

The Brewers Fayre allowed us back for our 2nd Christmas Dinner. A great night was had by all as you will see....

Eastern Scottish Leyland Lion ZLL177W (C177VSF) was the chariot for this years Social Event to the Fylde Coast. An illumination tour on Vambac 304, Beer and Buses on the LTT's Lytham 19 and a visit to Manchester Bus 100 at the Manchester Bus Museum were all in the itinerary plus the added bonus of being in a real life tram crash!!!

The superb Midland Bluebird MPE400 (RMS400W) was our stand-in chariot for this outing to the home of the National Tramway Museum in deepest Derbyshire on their Morris Minor day. The Saturday night featured food and drink in Matlock Bath (with some interesting signage in the coach park). Thankfully the weather was kind to us and despite it being St George's Day the guys at Crich laid on as many Glasgow trams are they could muster for us - thanks! An excellent evening buffet in the Red Lion at the Museum on Sunday evening and to top it off we had an extra surprise on the journey home.

The launch of Midland Scottish Leyland Fleetline MRF168 was the excuse for a trip to the excellent Yang Sing Chinese Buffet in Camelon.

On the 17th of December we descended on the Brewers Fayre, Orion Way for our Annual Christmas Meal. Unfortunately we're all too big for the Fun Factory... ...here are the results! 5 additional photos added courtesy of Big Chief Reindeer.

Our first proper Social Event Excursion was a visit to Blackpool using Norther Scottish Olympian NLO16. Taking in a tour of the illuminations by tram, a Beer & Buses trip to Great Eccleston (both with help from our friends at the LTT) and a run to Fleetwood on David Hunt's Routemaster, a great time was had by all.
